My son is sick

I got home from work about 5 and my one year old was running a fever of 101. I gave him cold medicine and Tylenol. Checked an hour later and his fever was down to 99.7 and it is back up to 100.5. When should I take to hospital? Should I be worried that he hasn't stop right you a fever?

First of all Is there any associated complaints like cough cold Vomiting loose motion If no then just Continue Fever medicine only. But if fever increase and if it touches 103 -104 Then need blood test and urine test to be done and may need antibiotics
