My son is coughing badly now.

Asked for Male, 2 Years

My son aged 2 years 6 months, weighs 12 kgs is coughing with running nose and fever since today morning. Doctor has prescribed maxtra syrup. The frequency of coughing has increased but the child seems active. Kindly advise if I need to change the medication.

Dear Parent, today only if you have consulted pediatrician than you should wait.... You can try with dried turmeric powder with milk or warm water by sips These you should do if no any past history of breathing problems like asthma or pneumonia

If high grade fever, breathibg difficulty, drowsiness or irritability,persistent vomiting or diarrhea,no oral intake and less urine output than need to worry otherwise can wait...
