My son has fever

Asked for Male, 3 Years

My kid of 3 years old is having a temperature of about 102 . I am giving a medicine of 5 ml calpol. It will come down for sometime and again temp will be there. Since two days has been the same case. And he has terrible cough ( not dry ). And cold too.

Most fevers in children are viral in origin,give just paracetamol for fever,repeat 4 hourly if required. Give steam inhalations 3-4 times a day for cough. If not improving in 2-3 days,consult your paediatrician urgently.
