My son 3yrs 8months having fever 101-102
My son 3yrs 8months having fever 101-102 giving crocin 240 6ml 6hrs once, fever is not coming down, can i give meftal p oral suspension 4ml ? If yes, previous corcin 5ml was given at 4:30pm , when should I give meftal -p and crocin again?

Appreciate your concern. If your child is having continous fever, Do cold sponging of the whole body for around 10-15mins If fever persists, give paracetamol dose as advised by your pediatrician.. You can repeat paracetamol after 4-6hrs if fever recurrs. Meftal-p has not been recommended in children group.. Usually viral infection has initially high grade in intensity, later weans off.

Give crocin 6th hrly and do sponging till fever comes down. Meftal P better to be avoided

Give meftal p if temp is above 100 f inspite of giving crocin 240 . Ya u can give meftal p 100 mg - 3.5 or 4 ml . Meftal P given evry 8 th hrly . Give crocin after giving meftal P after 6 hrs
