Hi...wisdom tooth extraction can be done by general dentist.If xray shows that position of tooth is awkward than its better to get it done by oral and maxillofacial surgeon. So my advice is to get xray done and thn decide, also with xray we can know if wisdom tooth is reason for you pain.You can post your xray here so I can guide you further.
