My baby has cough
My baby is 8 months 5days old, weighs 9kg.
She is having cough for 2 days.yeaterday i took her ti doctor, he prescribed syp eldikof ax, syp kufstop and antibiotic, plain water steam.This is for 5 days
She is better now, slept peacefully which she was unable to due to congestion.
Should i continue giving her med for 5 days?
Can i give her antibiotic only for 3 days
As i have heard cough med nd antibiotic are not that safe for babies.

Hi,
You must complete the course of the antibiotics for 5 days otherwise she will develop resistance and later she might require very strong medications.
Next Steps
Stop cough and cold medicines , if she is fine.
