It is due to wisdom tooth posteriorly biting your cheek between upper and lower last molars. Get it evaluated and if it keeps irritating for long get it treated appropriately with flap removal. Or appropriate treatment after x rays.
Next Steps
Continue with saline water gargles till that. It will soothe the bite area. Or in severe pain you could use numbing oral gels for temporary relief.
This is because of you wisdom tooth. This is a case of Pericoronitis ( Inflammation of the soft tissue surrounding the crown of partially erupted tooth).
Hi
I understand your concern. This is a case of PERICORONITIS. There is nothing to worry. It is very common around third molar region (around the last tooth). It happens due to lack of space for the tooth to erupt. In case of such swelling you should do frequent warm saline rinses, followed by every meal. If it doesn't subside please consult for further treatment options which includes flap removal &/ extraction of tooth and medication.
Hello
Looks like the flap is formed because the wisdom tooth is not able to come out
You can do warm saline water rinses and also if not getting relief you will have to visit physically
