Reassure yourself that this condition is common in infants, improves as immunity matures, and with good skin care and bite prevention, the baby’s sleep usually settles. Try to prevent mosquito bites by using a mosquito net over the crib, keeping windows closed in the evening, and using electric mosquito repellents placed away from the baby (do not apply coils, sprays, or repellents directly on the baby’s skin). If there are red, itchy bumps, you may apply a calamine lotion lightly on affected areas. Keep the baby’s nails short to avoid scratching and secondary infection. If itching is severe or sleep disturbance continues, consult Dressing the baby in full-sleeve, loose cotton clothes at night. Odomos (DEET-based repellent) can be used at this age with care—apply a small amount only on exposed skin, avoid hands, eyes, mouth, cuts, and broken skin, do not apply under clothes, and wash it off in the morning; In severe cases oral antihistamine mostly no need
