Missed periods

Asked for Female, 24 Years

My menstruation cycle is irregular and I missed my periods it's been 1 month . After doing scan I got to know there is some small cyst in my ovary. Though it's not big but it's affecting my menstruation cycle. Doctor recommended me to take medicine for getting my periods but I am afraid. Shall I wait for my natural cycle or have to go with medication.? Please suggest
