I am a 30 year old female. I have a 25 day menstrual cycle. My periods were due today. But didnt happen. I wanted to know after how many days of missed period can pregnancy be detected? Thanks

Hi there...I can understand your concern. Missed menstrual cycles can be due to many reasons like pregnancy, anaemia, thyroid disorders, pcod, fibromas, stress, drug intake. You can do urine pregnancy test 1 week from the date of missed period. You will also need detailed clinical examination and further investigations including ultrasound abdomen and pelvis, hormonal profile. So kindly consult a gynaecologist for further evaluation.
