From yesterday onwards I took norethisterone 5mg two times daily to get back my periods as per doctor's suggestion. 1.this tablets can harm my breastfeeding baby. 2.Is there any chance of getting pregnant. If periods are not come back after usage of this tablet definitely iam pregnant or any other reason.

Your thyroid needs a thorough evaluation.consult a endocrinologist for that please as it has effect on every system of the body.regarding your periods please check for pregnancy as a precaution to be sure that it’s not the reason for missed period.deranged thyroid status can also delay period.so please do check both

Hi. During lactation periods can become irregular . And ovulation can be unpredictable so please use a contraceptive always . Besause your TSH is high probably u are notgetting  periods . You have to take 100mcg as before daily and then retest it after 6 weeks . Taking Norethisterone will not harm the baby . After 5 days stop it and wait for withdrawl bleeding .
