Missed period and tiredness
My wife had her last period on Jan20, which is almost 59days ago, and we have been trying for babies. Almost a week back she did blood HCG test, and no sign of pregnancy. Almost 5months ago, thyroid test was also done, result were normal. We also consulted a doctor when she had missed period, they suggested pelvic scan of ut and overies, and no sign of pregnancy and endometrium thickness was 12mm. Her periods used to be normal, when we didn't had sex. But when we had it, it used to vary. She is yet to have her period some kind of tiredness is still there. Other than this, she used to take medication for Asthma. Why is period so late and no pregnancy? Please suggest what to do next.

There will be hormonal imbalance which cause irregular menses.. Stress of trying for pregnancy is also add on.. Otherwise sexual activity doesn't alter the menstrual cycle unless preg.

There are many reasons of delayed periods., Most importantly one should rule out pregnancy first . Stress, anxiety, severe weight loss or gain can also contribute to delayed periods.. Other common common causes are PCOS , Thyroid dysfunction & hperprolactinemia .. In your case if other tests are normal get serum prolactin level done .. If everything normal & pregnancy ruled out than we need to do progesterone challenge test ..
