Minor disc bulges
I'm a 22 year old female, non diabetic, 56kg in weight, 5'5 in height. I started with severe lower back pain which radiated to my right leg since Feb this year. I got an MRI done and it showed minor disc bulges at L3L4 and L5S1 and mild desiccation without overt nerve impingement. I've been put on Pregabalin 150 and am doing physiotherapy from a month. The pain has recently started radiating to my neck as well. My condition has improved since Feb, but it gets bad again on prolonged sitting or standing. I'd like to know how long would it take for me to heal completely and if the pain would reoccur again in the future?

Hi.... Use proper body mechanics: Stand smart. Maintain a neutral pelvic position. If you must stand for long periods, place one foot on a low footstool to take some of the load off your lower back. Alternate feet. Good posture can reduce the stress on back muscles..... Sit smart. Choose a seat with good lower back support, armrests.... Consider placing a pillow or rolled towel in the small of your back to maintain its normal curve. Keep your knees and hips level. Change your position frequently, at least every half-hour.....
