Mineral deficiency?
He regularly has deep brown to black stools. He intermittently complains of stomach pain. Recently noticed his gums are partly bluish-blackish. Is there a problem? He is very active otherwise.

Hello..., if its hard stool, its constipation... Give him enough water especially during summer....chewing food thoroughly before gulping makes digestion of food easy... Add green leafy vegetables , fiber containing vegetable in diet.. Gum blackness is due to pigmentation ,that's normal..
