I was experiencing mild/dull testicular pain in my left testis from last week. After consulting Urologist, he advised me to have color doppler for scrotum as nothing abnormal was found in physical examination. In doppler report it is mentioned that there is borderline vericocele at left testis. Is it normal ? Will this become grade 2 or grade 3 in future ? Will it cause any fertility issue? Please advise.

Hi, if the dilated veins are more than 3mm and if there is reflux on Valsalva, this needs treatment. (Check the Doppler report). If not, just scrotal support will help.
Surgery is a minor one day procedure to tie the dilated veins.
Varicose veins can in some cases lead to decreased sperm counts.
