Hi My kid is 5 years old and weighs 18.4 kg and height is 115 cm.She recently got a stomach infection ( vomiting and colitis symptoms) and finished her medicine dose.As she was on a low fiber diet for the past 10 days , her stool becomes tight while passing it she needs to put strain and relieving it on alternate days. From last 2 times miscus in her stool reduced but it's still there and I can see some red dots. There was not red dots before.Don't know what is it , have started giving her papaya, banana now.She is active, eating and drinking, no fever and stomach ache now.Is it anything to worry about and how to address this issue.

As the child has no fever, abdominal pain,u need not worry now...give high fibre diet like banana, papaya, sweet potatoes and adequate liquids...daily potty time to be allowed for atleast 20mins after feed ...if the child has significant bleeding in stools and abdominal pain consult physically

Based on what you’ve described, this sounds more like post-infectious constipation after her recent stomach infection and low-fiber diet. Passing hard stools on alternate days with straining can sometimes cause a small amount of mucus and tiny red specks, often from minor irritation or a small anal fissure. Since she is active, eating and drinking well, has no fever, vomiting, or abdominal pain, it is reassuring.
Increase fluids and fiber-rich foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains). Papaya is helpful. Bananas are fine if ripe, but avoid excessive amounts of raw/green banana as they may worsen constipation in some children.
Monitor her stools over the next few days. If the red spots increase, you notice obvious blood, persistent mucus, worsening constipation, abdominal pain, fever, weight loss, or she appears unwell, she should be evaluated by her pediatrician and a stool examination may be needed.
For now, the main focus should be softening her stools and restoring a normal diet.
Greetings
small red dots and mucus in your child's stool are highly consistent with a minor tear in the anal lining (an anal fissure), which frequently occurs when a child strains to pass hard, tight stool after a low-fiber diet.Other potential causes for these symptoms include residual inflammation from her recent stomach infection, a mild food sensitivity, or tiny benign polyps. To safely address this, keep offering fiber-rich options like her current papaya and banana, ensure she drinks plenty of water to naturally soften the stool
You do not need to worry about it sometimes after infection child takes some time to regain back its normal activity / normal bowel movements
What you can do is all on some roughage in diet
You need to worry if the child gets fever is irritable not able to pass stools or there is stream of blood in stool otherwise wait for 2-3 days
If wven after 2-3 days this doesnt resolve visit a near by doctor
