My father went o pee in the bathroom and as he did not come out for a minute we went to check and found him sitting on the comode with eyes open and no reaction, he then walked out sweating, but was completely normal in 2 mins, he is not sure what exactly happened inside. What could be the cause? Also he has been losing weight (6kgs in 4 months) He also had fever 2 weeks ago and is coughing since last 4 days. Please suggest what test needs to be done

It may be absence seizure in a patient becomes blank suddenly and keeps staring still for min or two, then becomes normal. For diagnosing this a thorough history, detailed neurological examination and EEG is needed.
