My son is 12 years old. His Vitamin B12 value is 260 (taking fermented millet porridge daily for B12). He is autistic and follows vegan diet because of that. I am a pure vegetarian myself. I am making sure that he is not malnourished because of this diet. I came to know that vitamin B12 value should be higher than 500 for better brain function and overall health and the supplement should be methylcobalamin (instead of cyanocobalamin) for better bioavailalability. I am taking "Nurokind OD" daily one tablet for myself, but not sure if it can be given to children. Please suggest a good methylcobalamin Vitamin b12 supplement or syrup for 12 years old boy (and also please mention the dose and duration) Thanks in advance.

Hello
Since he has Autism it is special condition where the child has certain behavioral problems
It has a very wide spectrum of presentation
B12 alone is not the treatment
It has a multisystem approach
Firstly understand the type and condition of your son
Then ther are therapies for behavioral problems
Don't restrict his diet for few things
Give him a variety of food
