Mesenteric cyst/peritoneal inclusioncyst
Hi Doctor, my mother in law had mild abdominal pain and we took her to hospital. US was performed and impression says it is likely simple mesenteric cyst vs peritoneal inclusion cyst.. is it something to be worried about? Her age is 70 with BP ( taking meds and in control), in 2007 she underwent stent placement. Please suggest treatment options. I attached the scan report

Hello, Mesenteric cyst is a condition dealt by general surgeon. But she is 70 yrs old so better to go with conservative treatment which is least bothered her. Operation  can be done but in such age it's always be safe.   You can go for sos medicine or go and consult at least once to genral surgeon it heardly means go for surgery. Importance is that you have a doctor in your hand if any thing much u can go to him as u r a PT of his. Don't worry.

Observation: If the cyst is small, asymptomatic, and not causing any complications, regular monitoring with imaging studies may be an option. This involves periodic ultrasound or CT scans to check for changes in the size or appearance of the cyst.
