Menstruation after d&c
I had a d&c for blighted ovum on 1st October. I have not got my periods till now so I went to my gynecologist today. She did a pelvic exam manually & told that my periods will start shortly & not to worry. Is it possible to detect the periods manually without any scan?

Ideally u shud hv got ur period by now Per vaginal examination ...very difficult to predict impending period U need investigations to find out the reason for delay Pregnancy test if u had been sexually active after the dnc

Yes possible Cervix feels soft and little open ,, clinical examination is much more potential,, So just relax , don’t take stress The more stress you take the more delayed it would be

Periods might get delayed post any abortive procedure. Don’t worry , wait for a few days Make sure you use contraceptive in case of intimacy.

An ultrasound would tell! Hope you have done a pregnancy test if you have been sexually active ?
