Bleeding with cramps and back pain after taking Unwanted 72 is very commonly a withdrawal bleed, which can feel exactly like a normal period. Since your last period was 23–27 Dec and you took the pill on 7 Jan, this bleeding is most likely due to the emergency pill’s hormonal effect—not a dangerous sign.
Next Steps
This bleeding is usually not considered your regular period, and your next natural cycle may come earlier or get delayed by 1–2 weeks. Wait for the next expected period based on your usual cycle. If your period is delayed by more than 7 days, do a urine pregnancy test for confirmation.
