Today I got my daughter -4yr old vaccinated with menactra vaccine as per paediatric..Later I read that it's not recommended in India and it has side effects.I am worried that whether it was correct decision if it is recommended for only high risk children?

It's not routinely advised in India because the disease burden caused by meningococcal infection at present is only 3% in India. So considering the cost effectiveness it's not advised on regular basis.
But there is no harm in giving vaccine. Only side effect is local pain and swelling.
