This is not the proper way to find time for yourself. If u want some private time you can send your children to your relatives place and have a separate room for them so that you people can lock your rooms at night from inside. But sleeping pills are definitely not the right choice for such reasons as they can have adverse effects on a growing child's health. And I am sure as a parent u don't want to put your child's health, growth or development at any kind of stake or risk for your own pleasures. There are a lot of other ways to figure this out.
Next Steps
You can sex - educate your children regarding as they are already of adolescent age. In the process of sex education,  you can   build a relationship with the children such that both of you don't have to hide your feelings or emotions for each other. after that u will notice how understanding your kids will become to both of your needs. And they will start encouraging both of u to spend time together. So I would suggest you to treat your adolescent children as friends and have a free and frank way of discussion about love, safe sex, values, decision making, risks of life, etc. , all face to face . It will be beneficial for you and your children both.
Health Tips
Most importantly through your conversation they should be able to understand your relationship with their mother as well as your feelings for her in the backdrop of a proper sex-education.
