Depends on your period of pregnancy...within 9 weeks medical management is more successful ...if it has crossed u ll require d and c. U can start your routine activities after d and c in a day or two once pain relieved n even go to office after a week's rest

D&C is not painful if done under sedation and done by an experienced doctor.
3 to 4 days rest may be required
