Mdr tb regimen detail.
Had pulmonary tb with cavitation and took medicine for 9 months from 31.08.2015 to 30.5.2016. Now last 6-7 days feeling fatigue,coughing,sore throat and chest pain.doctor gave me antibiotic and said to continue for seven days.if i get cure ok bt if not then mdr tb would be suspected.i am terrrified now knowing the outcomes of medicines.

Very true...if not improved by antibiotics course then go for sputum AFB and gene xpert i.e., CBNAAT. if positive then mdr if not then u need not to worry bcz secondary infection may irritate u on and off.. good luck for ur health..

Sputum AFB 2 days to be done If found positive then the question of TB or MDR TB comes. CBNAAT should be done if sputum AFB is positive.Based on the culture sensitivity reports regimen is selected.
