Masturbation
I just wanted to know is masturbation good or bad for sexual health.? How often a normal adult can do it.. or is it really necessary to do it because sometimes i don't feel like to do it for longer periods( 40-50 days). I have read in Ayurveda which explains that semen is very vital liquid of our body it should be preserved then its flow is upwards which goes to our brain and nourishes the brain cells.!! I wanted to know how its affects our body if done on frequent basis(2-3 days) or after a longer period (in my case its 50-60 days)

To many of us masturbation is a habit which have immense health hazzards like generalised weakness, loss of vigour, loss of concentration, insomnia, depression, loss of sexual power and many more. It is believed in many cultures that sperm is made up of vital nutrients of body including blood. So loss of sperm/dhat in any form has deliterious effects upon our body. For the same reason masturbation is not a culturally/religiously accepted habbit in many country. But the actual medical facts are totally different. According to modern medicine masturbation is absolutely a normal physiological/natural phenomena, like passing stool and urine. Because the function of masturbation/intercourse is to ejaculate 'sperm'. Which is the only biological matter by which a race is maintained in case of mammals. So sperm are produced in human body to keep alive the human race. It's the NATURE herself who evolutionary and genetically helps us to learn about masturbation or intercourse after certain maturity has been attained in our body. Needs for masturbation/intercorse varies between person to person, climate to climate and race to race. But any thing in excess is obviously abnormal. Like someone may develop compulsive masturbatory habits which is harmful to body and needs treatment. A person when leads a conjugal life, the need for masturbation gradually decreases or has to be decreased for a very practical reason. So doing masturbation at your age is absolutely a normal phenomena. Frequency depends upon your requirements. But there should not be any guilt about it and obviously you should maintain adequate privacy so that no one should feel embarrassed!!
