Diagnosed with lymphadenitis tuberculosis (armpit ) on 2nd march 2017 , my weight is 61kg ..I was having rcinex 450, pyrazinamide 1500, ethambutol 800 for 2months 10 days ..now i was told by other physician that i was underdose as per my weight and I should switch to Rcinex 600 and ethambutol 1200mg .. my lump has reduced from 3.7×3.5×1.2 to 2.7×1.5×0.9 cm ..
so now i am switching to new potency of Rcinex ..so technically i was underdose for 2 months will that create resistance to drugs ???

Hello there.
I can understand your concern.
No. Not really.
As long as you take the medicines regularly as suggested, resistance is out of the question.
So yes, go with the new regimen as suggested by your physician.
But make sure you take it for the whole course and don't leave half way. . best regards..Dr. Anil Kumar Jain.
