Hi
Blood transfusion is necessary at hemoglobin of 6.4gm/DL. It would improve the stress tolerance. Reduction in hemoglobin in cancer patients has several reasons. Most important of them remains chemotherapy induced adverse effects. If no chemotherapy is given in past 6-8 weeks then other reasons can be nutritional deficiencies, chronic anemia due to low erythropoietin response, bone marrow involvement by extensive disease ...but not limited to these. Please visit OPD for detailed discussion, you can come with reports alone.
Warm regards and best wishes
