Lump under armpit

Lump under armpit

Asked for Female, 32 Years

There is a lump or layer of tissue under right armpit for sometime now. Recently, very small one on left also come. Weight increase also happened in last 1.5 to 2 years of about 10 kgs and become moderately obese compared to normal weight for the height. Also under regular asthma medication. Lump under armpit on right also painful in some places when pressed. Please suggest what next steps to be taken. Thank you.

Dear patient, this is most probably extra breast fat tissue. But an ultrasound of both breasts needs to be done and you need to consult a breast surgeon for physical examination. Surgery is usually not required but breast surgeon opinion is a must. Change your undergarments size to match your size increase due to weight gain.
