My father has lumbhar spondylitis. So we went to a orthopedic doctor. After medicines. His pain increased gradually.After 5 days doctor advised us to practise physiotherapy.With 7 sitting of traction.He felt some change. Should we follow the same till pain subsides or is the or any other treatment for permanent cure

Lumbar spondylitis is a degenerative diseases ,it will keep progressing as the age passes, the treatment is to control the disease process and pain , continue physiotherapy till pain subside ,later do restrictions of movement as doctors advise, that's fine
