Lower left 3rd Molar grows horizontally
5 years back in 2016, I got my RCT done for the 1st Molar of bottom left corner & got Zirconia Crown for the same and all was good for 5 years but since last month, I started feeling pain in the same region. In my X-Ray, the 3rd Molar of bottom left corner is growing horizontally and I am feeling persistent pain in that region. All the other 3rd molars are growing vertically and I have no problem in rest of the teeth, What should I do for that, do I have to remove that painful bottom left 3rd molar ? When I visited ORO Dental of patna, the doctor said to "wait and watch" but that's simply put a stupid reply when I am in pain for almost an hour or two every morning and evening. Sometimes randomly in afternoon as well. He gave Painkillers, antibacterial but that's not even a remedy. The X-ray is quite clear and the cavities are not affected under the Zirconia Crown, so as per him the 3rd Molar's horizontal growth is pressing into 2nd Molar so just wait. Please Guide me. Thanks in Advance

Yes if it is horizontally impacted no reason to wait. Go for extraction. It can create pressure on the adjacent tooth so it’s better to extract it as soon as possible as it will only damage the other tooth.

If your Last molar is horizontally impacted, it will create unnecessary pressure on your 2ed molar, witch is root canal treated, so get it extracted as soon as possible under antibiotic coverage.

If that is the problem, please go ahead and remove it as soon as possible before it damages the second molar. As for take the medication and extract it within the course of this medication itself.

If u have a digital x ray then post it. It would be really very helpful to give a good opinion. If 3rd molar is the problem and medicines or cleaning is not helping then it needs to be removed by MDS oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
