Urine frequency can vary at this age. Increase fluids gradually and monitor.
If child is active, urine is not painful and passing at least once in 6–8 hours, usually okay.
If very less urine, dark urine, fever, swelling or no urine for long hours, consult pediatrician.
Health Tips
200 ml plain water alone is less for a 2-year-old, but total fluid intake also includes milk, curd, fruits, soups etc.
Try to increase overall fluids gradually and monitor urine output.

Greetings.
For a 2 yr child taking 200 ml is less,
1,000 to 1,300 ml of total daily fluids is required. In India's hot climate, toddlers lose fluids rapidly through sweating and require vigilant hydration.Offer domestic home solutions like WHO-recommended Oral Rehydration Salts, coconut water, or thin buttermilk (chaas).Monitor for red flags like a dry tongue, extreme dullness, or no urine for 6 hours.
At 2 years of age, children need about 1–1.3 litres of fluid daily from all sources (water, milk, dal, fruits). 200 ml of water alone is likely insufficient.
Please increase fluids — water, coconut water, diluted juice, milk — and monitor urine frequency.
Next Steps
Bring the child for a check-up soon. A urine routine test will help rule out infection or other causes.
Health Tips
Visit immediately if there is no urine for 8–10 hours, dry mouth, sunken eyes, or fever.
