I am 31.4 weeks today. The following are the measurements of AFI per each pocket - 0.3cm, 3.5cm and 4.9cm. there is no liquor in one pocket. Doctor said that AFI is 8.7cm and normal. But she didn't mention anything about the absence of liquor in one pocket. I came to know after seeing the report at home. Please confirm is this fine.
Before two weeks my afi was 5.8. I got admitted and took amino drips. Got discharged before a week. Also taking arg 9 sachet twice. Taking labetalol 100 mg twice and BP is controlled

Yes it is normal but on the lower side.. amnioti fluid distributes in the whole uterine cavity so it is a dynamic number in each pocket.. so no liquor in one pocket doesn't mean a problem.. if the overall liquor is above 8 or if one vertical pocket is more than 3cm, then nothing to worry.. but because u have hypertension, chances that liquor may reduce is there so u need followup regularly... Continue taking arg 9 sachets, plenty of fluids n labetolol... If AFI reduces further then pls get a fetal Doppler done for growth...
Normal range of amniotic fluid index is between 8-15. So value of 8.7 is normal but on a lower side. Due to high blood pressure amniotic fluid can decrease. Keep a watch over fetal movements
