I am high bp patient and under allopathy treatment by physician. For last 7-8 months I had problem in left eye. My eye sight did not looked normal. I went to eye specialist he diagnosed and said because of high BP, blood has accumulated in eye. He advised me OCT and injection in eye. I have taken injection in my eye 1 time and injection was scheduled for regular monthly basis for atleast 5-6 months but now because of lockdown I can't go there . What should I do?
(1) Taking injection in eye is the only treatment for my problem ?
(2) is there is any other way for treating my problem?
Pls help.

You may consult local retina specialist.
As monthly eye injection is utmost priority.
Delayed treatment can loose vision permanently.
Depending on eye conditions there different ways of treatment.

1. If possible please share your OCT images.
2. If injection was already scheduled, there's no option to it. You need to continue it. That is only way of treatment. Of course you can get options in Injections 4-5 different categories are available.
Hi as per ur description , ur diagnosis may be vascular occlusion causing macular oedma due to hypertension.
Only after doing OCT again , we can say that edma is decreased or not, so that u may again need intraintravitreal injection or not.
Thanks.
Next Steps
Control and monitor ur Blood pressure.
Do ,Oct again whether injection needed again or not.
It appears VEIN occlusion was the cause of bleeding all the treatment is for the consequences of hypertension so basic cause need to be addressed along with eye injection
Next Steps
consult eye specialist and also the nutritionist

Please consult a retina specialist.
Dear Sir,
If you have been advised intravitreal injection before the lockdown you need to consult your local ophthalmologist who is offering emergency services during the lockdown period. The All India Ophthalmological Society has advised that intravitreal injections be given even during lockdown as they come under the category of ophthalmic emergencies.
So please find a facility at your location which is open to patients, as you should not be denied this treatment. All precautions for Corona virus will and should be taken during the procedure.
What better you can do during lock down is to control your blood pressure. Do regular yoga and exercises. Take 2 to 3 glass of leuk warm water with 1 teaspoonful of turmeric (haldi) powder.
Instill Nevanac or Amplinac eye drop 3 times daily till you consult your eye doctor
Hello sir,
After evaluating your symptoms, the most likely diagnosis that fits the picture is a retinal vein occlusion with macular edema (will require confirmation with clinical examination and OCT) secondary to hypertensive retinopathy occuring due to high BP. The treatment is intravitreal antiVEGF injections repeated monthly till resolution of edema. Also additional retinal laser may be required which is decided based on your clinical findings at the discretion of your doctor. The tretament prescribed is correct.
Next Steps
Kindly visit your eye doctor to decide need for further evaluation and injection +/- retinal laser if required. Also considering you are 29 years old presnting with an elevated BP i would also advise a renal function test +/- renal artery doppler to rule out any other pathologies. The primary treatment os good control of your blood pressure.
