Loss of bladder control
My wife gets sudden, uncontrollable urges to pass urine. This happens multiple times a day. She has been suffering from a case of UTI and has been on medication for a good 1 month, but the sudden urges continue. Along with this, there is a lot of itching, light pain and dryness in her vagina which sometimes is extreme enough to bring her to tears. I've been trying to ensure that she drinks a lot of water but she does not even feel thirsty. Could this be an STI and not a UTI? Which specialist should I consult? We have been married for 2.5 months now, and have had unprotected intercourse a few times before and after her periods; at all other times we use condoms (mostly Durex, but sometimes Moods). Could this also be related to an allergy towards a specific type of condoms?

Your say your wife is suffering much and even crying ! Did you take her to the doctor? She seems to have both vaginal(fungal) and urine infection. Please take her to a good gynecologist and get her treated, condoms or no condoms.

Hello.. Well yes it does look like UTI infection and yes can also be an allergy towards the latex of the condom...But then it will be associated with UTI...I would suggest you to get a urine routine and culture and sensitivity done ...Do not panic I understand that it must be stressful...Thank you
