Loss of appetite
My 23 month old son is suffering from cough n cold right now. I have not started with any medication as such, since it is not much severe. The issue is he has stopped eating past two days. He is reluctantly having breakfast, almost no lunch and no dinner. In between he is taking bits of fruits. Temperament is cranky and not letting go of me (mother). Plus I also noticed that he is itching his bum (anal area) a lot. Can it be worms? How to tackle the loss of appetite? He is also on breast-feed but refuses milk or milk products.

Care AI Shimmer
If mild, avoid unnecessary medicine and just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down. Use paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required. As for appetite,STOP breastfeeds, give just 2 top milk feeds using a glass or spoon and katori and 4 solid meals a day including curd and Banana in the diet in addition to whatever you prepare at home. Deworm him using syp bandy plus 5 ml as a single dose.
