Loose motion in children is most commonly of viral etiology and do not require an antibiotic like metrogyl unless there is blood/mucus in stools
Instead give your son
1 ors small sips
2 zinc for 14 days
Light food
If doctor have decided to start metrogyl then it is 7.5mg/kg dosage 3 times a day for 5 days
(*Only if doctor have decided to start) Do not start it by your own in pediatric patient
