Please get a video consultation with a pediatrician, if chiken pox is confirmed, then no need to worry, you can take medicine according to symptoms.

Hello there, for any rashes...please first confirm what type or rashes or disease or infection it is. Treatment will be based according to the infection. Do Consult online and get prescribed.

For fever / discomfort: Give Paracetamol (15 mg/kg per dose every 6–8 hours if needed). Avoid ibuprofen and aspirin For itching: You can give Calamine lotion locally 2–3 times/day and oral antihistamine like Cetirizine (safe OTC) at night for itching Skin care: Keep nails short, maintain hygiene, lukewarm water bath is allowed Hydration & diet: Plenty of fluids, soft diet Isolation: Keep child away from other children, especially newborns and pregnant women Antiviral (Acyclovir) is NOT routinely needed in healthy children, but can be given only after pediatrician advice in severe cases or early

4 years old child with chicken pox is usually managed with supportive care and acyclovir,as the illness is self limiting. Give paracetamol, antihistamines, calamine lotion and acyclovir.Keep the child's nails short to prevent scratching and secondary infection.Hydrate well and soft diet. Start acyclovir within 24 hrs of rash onset(best outcome).Isolate until all lesions crust over(about 5-7days) Watch for complications like persistent fever, breathing difficulty or altered sensorium. Consult a paediatrician for a through physical examination to assess severity and to rule out complications.
