List of pregnancy test
My wife is 27 5 ft tall and 7 weeks pregnant. Please advise what all pregnancy tests need to be taken during first trimester ? We need to ensure foetus is developing properly and mother has no problems?

The tests that are done depend on your history and general health after examination. Some basic tests include Haemogram, blood group and Rh factor, Urine routine, HIV, HbsAg, VDRL, ultra TSH, Blood sugar fasting and Pp. You will need an ultrasound examination at 12 weeks to assess nuchal translucency and a blood test on the same day to assess risk for Downs syndrome, chromosome 13 and 18 trisomy.
Your obstetrician will guide you on further tests and their timing in pregnancy as it all depends on how the pregnancy progresses. You may wish to read up about pregnancy from popular books available on Amazon. or you can read more on wikipedia.
