May I ask you how did you arrive at the diagnosis of canker sores and mucocele???? Has this been diagnosed by any clinician????
Canker sores are basically self limiting.... they might trouble you for a few days for which you can apply ointment which will provide symptomatic relief for some time. But if you actually have a mucocele it will require surgical removal because it is not going to heal on its own. It is caused by trauma to the minor salivary glands on the lips and because of similar traumas, it can get punctured and the size might diminish. But because the involved salivary glands have not been removed there will be recurrence of the lesion.
So the best option will be to consult an oral surgeon in get the lesion removed as soon as possible to avoid future recurrences.
Regards.
