Leprosy is mildly contagious and is thought to be transmitted via respiratory droplets from prolonged close contact with an untreated person. It is not highly contagious and requires prolonged and repeated exposure.
Pregnancy does not significantly increase a woman’s susceptibility to contracting leprosy. However, the immune system undergoes changes during pregnancy, which might affect the course of the disease in a woman already infected

Leprosy can be contagious but not highly, it can spread through close contact or sharing of fomites.
Next Steps
I don't think there is any reason to be worried. If your child and yourself are vaccinated with BCG vaccine.
