Leg swelling
Hi my dad is 70 years old. Whenever he sits in a chair , both the feet get swollen. If he is laying in bed the swollen get reduced. What could be the reason? What's the treatment for this? Any concern on this?

It looks like physiological edema, seen in most elderly patients after prolonged standing or sitting. There are medicines to decrease and prevent the swellings, but I wouldn't recommend unless it is interfering with his daily activities.

Hello.... When a person stand hydrostatic pressure in leg increases... Sometimes incompetent leg veins, varicose veins can cause this problem...
