Do you have pain in your neck? Are you able to lift your arm above the shoulder level without pain? Are you diabetic? How long do you have pain on your left side? Do you have any cardiac condition?
Since it is left side I would recommend you to rule out for heart condition.

You should consult a physician or Orthopaedist or Physiotherapist for complete assessment and treatment.
If there is cervical spondylosis or nerve compression then the pain will radiate to shoulder and along with hand and to chest sometimes.
Visit physiotherapy clinic and take proper treatmenr, at home.remedies wont work.
