Asked for Female, 29 Years

Hello Dr. I am Sonal from last 14 days my peroids delayed.I checked pregnancy test it was negative (checked 3 times ).now I am not understanding why my peroids late.should I go for blood test. Or go to Dr. Is that any thing serious. Because here Dr.are not easily available.till that time can you advise me any medicine or home remedy. Please reply I am eagerly waiting for your response.

Hey Sonal! Is this the first time you have had delayed periods? Do you have irregular periods in general? If this is your first time, relax.periods can get missed due to stress, change of routine, physical activity apart from pregnancy. Repeat urine pregnancy test 16 to 18 days after last unprotected intercourse. Get some basic tests done like haemogram, s.tsh and s. Prolactin.

Next Steps

If periods are generally irregular or you do not get periods then consult gynaecologist for medicine.

Repeat urine pregnancy test.If same finding then do pregnancy test by blood.Bhcg is blood test and confirmatory also.If comes negative means no pregnancy then take tablet for withdrawal bleeding after consulting with the gynaecologist.
