Hi, my HSG report says left tube fimbrial block & mildly dilated, right tube patent. We have tried 2 cycles of clomiphene & 1 cycle of IUI with injections but it failed. I have PCOD but periods are regular, egg are forming& rupturing, weight normal, hormone profile, husband report everything's fine. Now one of my doc suggested laparoscopy(I dnt have fibroid/cyst) & other doc was more inclined towards directly going for IVF. My age is 34 & we've been trying for 10 months. Now I'm confused should i go for laparoscopy? Can fimbrial block be opened? Pls suggest!

Yes better to undergo laparoscopy - though it may not help in opening the fimbrial block but it helps in looking for other factors that might have per se lead to fimbrial block and infertility . Following that you can decide about IVF .
Yes the blocked tube could be given a try .
Also laproscopy is just done to look for any other issue that might be hampering your process of pregnancy.
You could undergo that , and before ivf laproscopy is usually done to rule out things .
