Lactose intolerance in baby
My baby is 3 mnth 21 days old. He was doing watery poop 2 to 3 times a day. Since last 2 weeks he is doing poop once after 3 days. His weight was 5.8 kg on 23rd November and current weight is 6 kg on 10th December. Doctor is saying it might be lactose intolerance. Please tell your opinion on this. Sometimes he is spitting little milk after feeding.

Primary Lactose intolerance is highly unlikely in Asian population. If the baby is healthy, gaining appropriate weight, achieving milestones according to age, nothing to be worried about. Baby passing motions 5-6 times also normal, passing once in 2-3 days also normal.

Hello ! Mother shld Take fibre rich diet so tat he can pass stool daily . Continue breast feeding . If it’s lactose intolerance he will go stools frequently. Do burping after each feed for 15 min . So tat he won’t spit out milk
