Lactation- baby weight
Hi, I'm mother of 6m baby girl. I have thyroid from last 3yrs, as of now I take 125mcg pill. I'm breastfeeding my baby. Problem is my baby is very lean n not chubby. Her birthweight is 2.3 kgs. Now she is 5.2. I'm concerned about her weight gain. I heard that baby weight will be impacted by my thyroid problem. Is this true? What can be done to improve baby weight.

Get a thyroid profile done for the baby... however your babies weight is growing according to normal scale so don't worry...proper breastfeeding in correct position is very important

get a thyroid profile done for the baby.. Also if the birth weight was 2.3 kg then at 6 months its just okie as most babies double there weight at 6 months.. However it would be better if it was more than 6.2 kg.. you need to hv high protein diet.. Now ur baby s 6 months old so u cn add protein powder to her milk and start increasing proteins rich diet for her..
Next Steps
consult a pediatrician for further detailed management
