Sit on a surface that is taller and from where you can easily get up. Sitting at lower heights from where there is difficulty in getting up produces more pressure on your calf and feet muscles. These overworked muscles are giving you pain and cramps.

Hello Have you done xray or MRI to the knee? What's your weight? Do you have any injuries in the past related to the knee..? Have you done the strengthening exercises in the past ? For now you can go with the hot water fermentation for 15 min twice a day. Apply volini for pain relief. And start the stretching of the calf, Achilles tendon, and the fascia of the foot. Do these stretches twice a day. Later start the strengthening exercises of the knee those are the isometrics exercises. These exercises will strengthen the muscles around the knee.
Next Steps
If the pain still persists it's better to rule out the route cause and continue the physio sessions.
Health Tips
Avoid bending activities. Avoid squatting. Avoid climbing stairs.

Pain in the calf and foot at night....are you diabetic? Diabetic neuropathy could cause numbness in ypur feet. Also have you had any prolonged bedrest, problems breathing etc. It is hard to travel during lockdown, but if you have had travel then check for deep vein thrombosis!!! However restless leg syndrome could be a part of the night pain. Lack of vit D and B12 could give joint and muscle pain. Lack of magnesium levels could bring about leg cramps... Low back stiffness, hamstring and calf tightness, problem with straightening your knees  could also bring about symptoms
Next Steps
if you have had travel, difficulty breathing check with a doctor for DVT
Health Tips
if any of the above is present visit your general practioner or vascular surgeon, if not make a physiotherapy appointment.
