Your doctor appears to be treating both conditions together, which is the right approach. The liver supplements in the prescription are likely targeting your fatty liver, while the alkalizing syrup (like Alkasol) works to change the urine chemistry to prevent further stone formation and help in passing small stones â the gastric capsule protects the stomach from other medicines. This combination treatment for both kidney stones and fatty liver simultaneously is a common and reasonable clinical approach, and your treating doctor has examined you directly and knows your full case.
Next Steps
Continue all prescribed medicines as directed and do not stop any medicine on your own. At your next follow-up, ask your doctor to explain the purpose of each tablet â that is your right as a patient. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
