Just want to confirm my pragnency

I did the pragnency test at home but it was negative and I missed my periods after few days I had lite spotting and yesterday I went to doctor he told me to take folic acid test so just want to confirm whether I am pragnent or not

Folic acid test ? Or beta hcg blood test..and gave folic acid to eat.. U need a beta hcg blood test to confirm if u r pregnant or not. Folic acid s a medication for eating.
